For some reason... since a different distributor got the OAVs of Kenshin, they were worried that people would get confused over the two different products.

I don't know how they could have believed such a thing, since this has happened before in the anime world... where one company gets the TV series rights and another company gets the OAV rights and another one gets the movie rights.....

I hate corporate mentality....

Get Backers, If you can put up with all the filler episodes the you get to witness some truly awe-inspiring fights, and whats more they are not just fights that happen like this,

P.S. the scenes with Ginji going all "Raitei" are the best scenes in the whole show.
