Haibane Tenmei?

Well I really like the art in most of the pictures from this anime...
I don't know it this anime is all looks so please someone tell me if the anime is worth seeing...

Haibane Renmei

Well, no action, no fan service, nothing outwardly exciting.

On the other hand, it's all story and a quite mixed-up, strange story. The ending is inconclusive. Artistically beautiful, good narrative.

I loved it, but it's not for someone who has a short attention span and gets bored quick.

well I know I don't have a short attention span, well Cuz I LIKED lain... I think I'll go with my first instinct and not get it... I hate anime that dosn't end... *Cough* Eva..*Cough*

I'm sorry! I Must Intercede... IT DOES HAVE AN ENDING!!
And a beautiful one at that.

If you like Lain, Boogiepop Phantom, or any creatively unconventional series/film (Millennium Actress), then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAIBANE RENMEI!

You may not think much after the first volume, but it is very interesting. Hell, if you're the type planning to get Witch Hunter Robin, then I'm sorry to say, the pacing is just as slow. Just think Haibane Renmei is only half as long (12 eps) and far more interesting.

I always found Eva to be a little more conclusive than say, Haibane.

However, Haibane Renmei is (I'm pretty sure) made by the same creator as Lain and in general, does have a similar vibe to Lain - just less depressing.

I should correct myself though: the story ends, and yes, it does so beautifully. However, beyond the main story itself, lots of questions remain unanswered... To me, unanswered questions are good because they leave room for ambiguity. Dunno about others though...

HR is definitely worth seeing! It reminded me of an old-fashioned fairy tale. It's one of those animes that make the world a better place.

I enjoyed the series but there were several questions that were left unanswered, which I thought of as importent considering it added to a darker undertone that I felt it had.

However this mystery does make me agree with Janzki about it being a fairytale like....the mystery may also have something to do with the fact that the world is shown from the point of view from the main character (sorry forgot her name) so as the world opens up for her, it does so for us. What is outside remain a mystery as we are trapped in the same world as the Haibane Renmei are.

Suffice to say I did enjoy, and for anyone who doesn't mind a slow pace and no action it is worth watching.

I agree that Haibane is not for everyone, but I for one enjoyed it from the moment that it started to the very end. Very few times have I been as emotionally involved with a character as when...

So true. It is indeed an emotionally involving series, that is if you allow it to emotionally involve you...

Fairytale - perhaps. Despite some fairly scary or sad moments, it's definitely THE series that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy
