i saw kenshin first and i really liked it then watched trigun and it was also good i dont know witch i like more, i think that kenshin has a better story but i like trigun becouse of all the cool guns and stuff i also think that vash is cooler then kenshin vash is a badass and kenshin is a sort of a pus*@ becouse of the pink shirt but both are good animes. i also think that the original statment about them being the same can be aplyed to most animes almost every anime iv every seen i could compare to another one

Hmmm, nice nice point, still in the end kenshins opponent was alive, hmm, good point thoKracus wrote:Sorry to "necro" postShun wrote: First off, nice Necro Post
From here on out expect spoilers to Trigun and possibly Kenshin.
"Vash was more devoted then Kenshin"
If you meen in the oath not to kill u are wrong, Vash slipped with legato.
But I just wanted to comment on this point cause it was mentioned before and since someone already posted in this yesterday and today I'm gonna go ahead and spew my words =).
anyway, I disagree with that, Vash slipped with Legato and Kenshin slipped with Cho. In kenshin's mind, he killed Cho. It wasn't until Lori's father told him to look at the blade that he realized it was reversed. Also, (going onto the limb) Kenshin could have just used the hilt and not the blade, Vash didn't have a choice - his friends were going to die. Kenshin at that point was the weaker minded one because it wasn't Kenshin it was the Hotokiri that was still manifesting in him when he loses control. (but still one of my favorite moment in the kyoto arc)

But one could easily argue that this is why the show Rurouni Kenshin is more interesting. Kenshin is just a deeper character with more issues that need resolving. Yes, he reverts to the Hitokiri Battousai, but that struggle is more interesting IMO.Kracus wrote:Kenshin at that point was the weaker minded one because it wasn't Kenshin it was the Hotokiri that was still manifesting in him when he loses control. And someone said something about if Trigun were 95 episodes...well first off, Kenshin that is based on the manga is really only through 62 and even further a good 12 in the middle are also not in the manga. So yes, that's still 50 episodes, but it's still preposterous to "scale" anime according to the episode #s. Isn't that Trigun's fault for not budgeting more episodes to develop characters? It's not RK's fault it spent more time on that and thus had more episodes. Again..pretty preposterous to argue that.

I agree, what drew me to trigun was the relationships and the personalities of characters like Legato and Knives.dwchang wrote: But one could easily argue that this is why the show Rurouni Kenshin is more interesting. I was just commenting cause to me Kenshin also slipped, even though technically he didn't kill anyone.
