I've now seen the first 3 fansubs, and the plot I've already noticed diverges from the manga in a couple of significant places. Mainly, an entire scene between Shiina being on the island and her coming home was missed out. During the trip, they are attacked by the Dragon Child/Dragonlet that you see attacking Shiina personally in episode 3. She is saved by the Virgin Princess (the nekkid lady with the painted skin), who she didn't originally meet whilst sitting atop the shrine with Hoshimaru. Hoshimaru also absorbs a piece of girder at this point, which he later reforms and attacks the kid with the other Shadow Dragon with- whereas in the anime, he creates a copy of said kid's Dragon Child. He's also seen to chop a plane in half after interrogating the pilot about Shiina Tamai (the pilot being from her dad Shunji's company).

Otherwise, the manga is a little more graphic, and has a few more scenes here and there and a few less. I'm not really bothered about the changes, but it'll be interesting to see how they address some of the later events.

Well, at least the person getting impaled wasn't very nice

I can't vouch for anyone else that might die during all of this, however

:up:date. Ep 5 is somewhere around, and the wagons're starting to roll. The plot's kicking in...
