Why? Why do this? What in the world... WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?!?
I haven't heard ANY PERSON AT ALL say they liked Reign... and Kikaider doesn't look like it's going to fair very well. (I'll still give it a chance...)
Inuyasha's kool, but I've never really been into it. The only thing I'll really watch it for now is Lupin, although plenty of people will argue with me on that account. Grr...
But, I do agree that Bebop could use a rest, as it has been running forever. It needs some alone time. Trigun though?? It was MID-SERIES. At least bebop stopped at the second Jupiter Jazz...

Uhmmm...
I only watch Adult Swim to see Futurama and Family Guy.
However, during that hour, I usually see one or two commercials for Cowboy Bebop. It's gotta be on Cartoon Network somewhere.

From what it seems they are pulling bebop now, which I can bear with as the show HAS aired for nearly 2 years now and at only 26 eps it can only last so long.
Now Trigun..... why in the world are they pulling it off before it gets a full second run through. And from what it seems, it was pulling in more viewers than Reign. They really needed to keep it on for a little while longer for those who may miss the occasional ep to see it again. Those who missed the ending the first time now are at a loss.
And Reign it seems is moving for Sunday-Thursday. This is inane as it is not very popular at all among thge adult swim viewers or anime fans and it is all of 13 episodes long. Once a week I can see it airing but there is no reason for it to air 5 days a week (although I bet that changes once Big O comes back)
And Kikaider.... I don't understand why they put this one on as it was one that really didn't seem to have a signifigant fanbase among the anime fans. And so far it seems the reaction has been lukewarm at best.
Goodness..... between Adult Swim's inane choices and Anime Unleashed's commercials I have to wonder if either are worth bothering with at this point.

Now... I may be wrong, but I don't think Kikaider has been in the US that long and therefore I can't imagine it having a chance to build up any fan base.
Furthermore... The Big O was not that popular in Japan, but Big O got such a big reception on Cartoon Network that it was the US Fanbase and not the Japanese one that was able to motivate the value in making the second season.

I might add that the people at Cartoon Network who are behind Toonami and Adult Swim have had to fight to get all that they've done out there.Illia Sadri wrote:Goodness..... between Adult Swim's inane choices and Anime Unleashed's commercials I have to wonder if either are worth bothering with at this point.
I mean... the conservative element at Cartoon Network didn't want new shows and they certainly didn't want anime. They simply wanted Cartoon Network to show old Hanna- Barbera stuff and Tom and Jerry and the like...
The folk who wanted to bring anime to US television had to fight hard to get the new shows and the anime in the first place...
Thanks to them, there will be a second season of Big O.
Thanks to them, there are more people who have become aware of anime.
Many of the people on this board only know the anime titles that have been on Cartoon Network.
I think their decision making has proven more than adequate so far.
