FFU- What do you think?
I don't know if this question has been asked before but what do most of you here think of the anime Final Fantasy Unlimited? In my personal opinion I think the show was pretty decent ( and will buy it when it is released over here in September by our good friends at ADV
) and I felt that the show did a lot of things right, while somethings could have been done better ( re-hashed footage anyone? but then again this is one of the biggest Ronin Warriors fans here
) overall though, I felt that the artistic style, animation, and character design were all pretty cool... but hey, thats just me. I want to know what everybody else thinks of this pretty controversial anime that somehow has remarkebly managed to be somewhat more popular over here than in japan.
I guess I should say something witty here right...? Too bad...

Loved It.
At that time I had never played or seen any of the Final Fantasy games so it was all new to me.
I thought it had a good story and interesting characters. Some of the bad guys were a bit weak but overall it was good.
And I didnt know what Chocobos were but now I do and I think they are cool.
The anime got me interested in the games and I have started playing some of them now.

Personally, I thought that the entire thing was just a staging ground for Kaze to show off how cool he is 8) Which is no bad thing...
He doesn't come within a million miles of Vincent Valentine (FF7) though. I can only bemoan that Vincent was not one of the FF7 characters to get a Kingdom Hearts update :'(

Its kinda nice to see that people on this board actually liked the show (
now i feel like i'm not alone anymore
) Onto better things though, I was just surfin' the web and I've picked up some rumors that the FFU: After manga is going into it's third installment ( and i haven't even gotten the first two yet
) and from what most have been sayin' it's supposed to be really good... I can't wait

I always felt FFU was one of my guilty pleasures. A few of my friends explained (painfully, I might add) why I shouldn't have like that series. I won't list everything they said here, I'm sure you've all heard it all before. But I couldn't help but like it...it's a goddamn shame they had to shorten the series from its original 52 eps.
