Well first off let me say that anybody who thinks animation in japanimation is somehow better than animaniacs is on crack. Sure there are some series that have better animation but big whoop. I don't see how it could happen I am brainstorming. Obviously the Animaniacs could do a parody of animes. They would be right at home with excel I guess.

I would maintain that the best-animated episodes of Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures were produced by...

...Tokyo Movie Shinsha. In Japan. By the Japanese.

The manga 'Short Cuts' did a strip on this idea- a transfer student who'd been in America for a few years, came back doing Looney Tune-style things- like the Jim Carrey in The Mask. Weird.

Oh my God, i just admited having once read 'Short Cuts' The creator of that thing is one sick puppy- but some of it is funny.

Looney Tunes and Anime

Post by borpii » Fri May 23, 2003 7:04 pm

They could maybe do a big movie where all the Looney Tunes do battle against various animes. That would be cool, I guess . As long as it didn't become a regular show or anything. In my humble opinion Looney Tunes and animes are in seperate worlds and should remain so, except for the occasional cruel joke where Wargarurumon catches the roadrunner instead of the coyote.

They should

I would pay a LOT of money to see Kenshin slaughter that damn road runner, I would also like him to finish off Tom and Jerry for good so they can rest in piece after years of pointless battle.

I was going to bring GargoyleS into this, but then I remembered how much of the production crew was Japanese so I guess that doesn't work. I'd love to see some things cross, though, in all honesty. Through in a mix of Looney Tunes and Azumanga Daioh for example, and you could have something really messed up. Best watched on drugs, but even without, I think hilarity would ensue. Or hey, mix up some anime set on a university or college campus and blend with Undergrads. Again, hilarity would ensue. I don't think Looney Tunes is the best candidate for crosses (pun reference very intended), nor do I think that any of these crosses should be treated as a series, just a special, but I do think it could be funny/entertaining to see at least once.

I can just see it now. Daffy duck hit's Eva 01 over the head with a frying pan and EVa 01 devours him. Hell while you're at it, wy not have an all out Roger Rabbit Style brawl!, Bring in Christopher Lloyd and he, knives and Wile e. coyote can dip things in acid, then, In south park animation style, Osama Bin Laden can dance across the screen, a la red hot riding hood, slobbering after Haruka and Misato!

Honestly, that's the worst Idea I've heard since an Eva Fan Fiction about Third Impact not happening.
