Creepy anime...

I've been looking at a LOT of shows to see what they're like. Recently, I saw Ragnarok: Demon Detective Loki. Seriously, it freaked the Hell out of me at some points. (The ending song to this show is also kickass good.

)

What other creepy/scary animes are there?

peopel have tried this, somone went necro on an anchient thread liek this, which had only liek 7 replies. But really anime generaly isn't very scary, at least not in the same sense as american horror movies (which is a good thing). Some things are freaky because of their psychological impact on the viewer or the characters, but almost nothing is out right scary.

Now, back on topic ... freaky stuff .. lain, thats freaky, and if i understood half of what was going back and forth in there it would be even freakier ...

An example of what I'm talking about is in Ragnarok's first episode. At one point, a possessed doll starts to float in the air with the camera aimed at the back of the head. Then, slowly, the head starts to turn around and reveals glowing yellow eyes. THEN, it centers right on the face and, VERY quickly and suddenly, zooms in on her eyes. (You would have to see it to REALLY understand what it's like)

I'm not really talking about blood and guts scary. I'm just talking about suspense and quick, creepy camera movement. Imagine a character slowly walking up behind one of his/her friends just to have that friend be zombie-like and quickly turn around and rush at the camera. I'm talking about things that will make you jump back.

hmm ragnarok ... interesting thats teh vikign apocalypse ... i think.

Any ways yrou talkign about shocking stuff. meh, theres lots of weird stuff, i just haven't seen any of it yet ... good luck with the thread

You wanna know what's freaky about Ragnarok, in my opinion? How it goes from suspense/thriller horror in the first episode to all-out chibi silliness in the second. 8)

Having said that, Ragnarok has been pretty interesting, though I'd say episode 1 isn't the best representation of the rest of the series to date.

in F3 they had a possesed Blow up doll....

the only thing i had which 'tried' to go there was Boogiepop Phantom.
had a few freaky elements.
