Something like that. Either way, in Western dealings, they preferred their native "Nippon"-ish term. To the point that one time, in a POW camp they ran, one of the prisoners received a postcard with a derogatory message about the Japanese. The prisoner was called to the command house, and fearing the worst, he went. Instead of punishment, he was told to tell his correspondent that the "Nipponese" was the correct term, and the one that should be used in the future.

Crazy. That's pretty much in the past now, though. I hope.

I'm Central, but it's certainly not 7:00 A.M. if that were the case I'd be in bed another hour until work (groan). I guess I'll go look at my profile...regardless...0wned

BTW it looks like I'm truly leaning towards JACON...you're the only "La Familia" there I think...

Still laugh every time I hear that. My sister always calls Asian's nips being in the most racist and offensive way she could muster. I never knew why then someone told me they prefer to be called Nipponese and i cracked up laughing.

It's called the "Battle de Chapultepec". What makes it different from the Alamo, was that Capultepec was a Military School with kids from 10 to 16, fighting an army, and they werent given a chance to surrender. They killed them all.
I would argue that Americans dont learn about that in history books, but hey, Mexicans dont learn about the Alamo either, and im sure both stories are exagerated, history is biased anyway.
A quick example, Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor, revenge is reasonable. Later, TWO atomic bombs hit Japan.
I guess that's justified...

This is of course a moronic lie chautahalpec or however its spelled they were asked to surrender they refused and instead leaped to their deaths the mexicans celebrate a holidy in honor of them. kind of like the moronic japs on Iwo jima in world war 2.
War is easily justifiable and anyone who think it is not is living in a deluded fantasy lala land. First off remember that Hate is as much a part of being human as love is. Revenge can never be excessive if somebody breaks in my house their life is forefit even if I go to jail I will make sure they die in horrible pain or are maimed for life. Skanks, america was not blockading japan we were in a group of countries including the dutch that simply refused to sell them oil until they left china which they had no intention of doing. Instead after bombing pearl harbor they immediatley went for the dutch indies where most of their Oil came from. When the dutch set fire to the oil wells the invading Japanese raped tortured and burned their wives in front of the oil workers then killed them. Trying to justify the japs reasons for entering world war 2 is pointless they were led by madmen just like the Germans and they preached the same ludicrous idea of Racial supremecy.

The japanese joined the war because they wanted some more territory, thats a reason alot of countries go to war. And how you argue the thing bout mexico was a lie, i can say the same thing about the Alamo, but no one will ever know because history books are biased as I said before. One history book may say that some country liberated another, and another history book might say that some country occupied another...
