Need your opnions on Ping Pong Club

Well its about that time again that I buy some anime. since I haven't gotten much in a while I want to get to full things instead of a lot a different tv series's. Anyway I'm getting Now and then here and there Boxset. And I also saw the ping pong club boxset for a decent price, so I need you opnions on if this is a good show, I read stuff on it, but I want to know if truly good from all you fellow anime fans

It's kind of the Japanese version of "Beavis And Butthead", except the characters are smarter. It's not that great story wise, but it can be funny. I'd say it's in the same league as Goldenboy, but that'd be a lie. The animation isn't that great, either.

On a 1 to 10 scale: 4.

Ping Pong Club is a classic. If you like sick and twisted humor (and who among us really doesn't), you MUST buy this show. The art is ugly as hell, and the animation is crude at best (pun intended), but the jokes are hillarious. I should also note here that while you will probably enjoy this show on your own, the best way to maximize your enjoyment is to watch it first by yourself, and then invite a bunch of friends over who've never seen it before and watch their reactions.

The only thing I can say after all that is....TURTLE SCENE!!!

Ah I see. Hmm if its not even on par with golden boy then it wouldn't really seem so worth it, cause I can only handle Beavis and Butthead type humor for so long before it gets annoying...but still if any one else has anything to say keep em coming

There's a good amount of physical humour, but a lot of it comes from just how screwed up the characters are. There's two total perverts, a gaijin with incredible BO, the team manager who will let the winner of the district tournament user her body however much they want for a month, and the captain and vice captain who are the only ones who actually care about ping pong.

Then there's the teacher who wants to run them out of the school, even if he has to give them all explosive diarrhea or brainwash their sponsor to do it...until the students discover his weakness....and don't forget the swimming coach, either.

BTW, this is barely a tenth of what's in the first four episodes =)
