Oh and ADV also announced that they had FFU(final fantasy unlimited),Magical Shopping District Abenobashi. Also that they were going to put out the directors cut of Evangelion.
The director cuts of Evangelion will be released on two DVDs. Each DVD will come with the old version and the new version. Episodes 25 and 26 remain the same. ADV could not confirm whether they have the new remastered Revival episodes. For Voices of a Distant Star, ADV obtained the original hard drive that contains the rendered version of the show in order to produce a master that rivals the Japanese release. Dubbing for the Nadeisco movie should probably be started in a couple of week.

*jaw drops* I can't believe someone had the balls to license a show so filled with jokes about japanese culture. Excepting the high chance of them screwing it up, this is good news indeed. Hopefully we'll get ADV's anime channel here and it'll play... that would kick ass.

Dude. One word: AD-VidNotes. The fact that they could get all the jokes in Excel Saga (Even ones not caught by the fansubbers), and made them understandable by American audiances... I somehow doubt they'll have much trouble explaining the jokes in Azumanga Daioh properly.

If you ask me, I am glad.. I don't think I'd want any company BUT ADV getting Azumanga Daioh.

Oh yeah, and about the Nadesico movie: WOOOOHOOOOO!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Mmm, good times ahead.

Yeah the VidNotes should do the trick. I can't wait to see what kind of things they throw in for extra's, me thinks a show like azumanga's gonna have a some neat menu's, :D . Man I can't for the first release, the thought of having Azu DVD's for AMV's gives me a flood of ideas :P

Hopefully it will give some more people some ideas too since there is a sad, sad lack of Azumanga AMV's right now.
