I'm thinking about switching to Sony Vegas. Good idea or not
I'm really fed up with Adobe Premiere. It won't stop crashing EVERY TIME I use it, and I really am thinking of switching my video editing software when I get the money. Is Sony Vegas the way to go? Does it still take AVS script? Or can you at least install a plugin for it?
All my haters:I'm awesome, and you're just jealous and biased elitists. Fuck you very much.
And I still say CASSHERN SINS SUCKS ASS!!!!

You can acheive almost everything in Vegas that you could do in Premiere, maybe even more. When you get down to it, the better one is the one you're most comfortable with as they have very different interfaces. So if you have problems with Premeire, Vegas is probably your best choice unless you're willing to spend a thousand or so dollars on something like AE. Get the trial first, and see if you like it.
Don't worry about .avs files in Vegas. Vegas won't read them directly, but using the fake avi's method it's quick and simple to get them going. And you can always use VDub to make avs files into avi.
If you do get Vegas, I'd recommend Vegas Pro 8. The newer version, 9, is out but doesn't hold much more in store than 8 does. But like I said, get the trials and see which you like more.
