Moving Multiple Layers at Once in Vegas 6

Post by Kumatora » Sun Jul 27, 2008 1:16 am

I'm trying to put some audio at the beginning of a song and I already have about 30 seconds of footage moved around in a lip sync video. Instead of moving each segment by the right amount, I want to move everything simultaneously so I don't lose the syncs I already have.

I know this can be done and I have done it before. However, every time it was done was by accident so I would like to know how it is done for future reference.

Before anyone asks me, I've looked through the guide at the top.

Hold down shift and select the first thing on the timeline and then select the last thing on the last layer. Then move.

also, by selecting multiple clips you can right click and go to "group" and choose "create new" and that will stick ALL of the clips together until you decide to ungroup them...

when it comes to moving the entire timeline I go to "edit" and "select all" and then move things over that way.
