Sony Vegas 8 Unable to start up after installing AMVapp!!

Sony Vegas 8 Unable to start up after installing AMVapp!!

Please help! Sony begas 8 was working fine (apart from not playing or being able to use AVI files, it would only show the audio, if anyone can help with that please do) BUT! As soon as i installed AMVapp, Sony Vegas 8 freezes on the splash screen when it gets to querrying additional plugin interfaces then come up with an error saying memory could not be read . . . .
Im really confused and i wanted to use the amvapp for my amvs so please help me :cry:

When all else fails, re-install Vegas. :/

the "not taking avi files and only showing the audio" part = don't use xvid/divx encoded files to edit with

Had the same problem,fixed now-ONLY uninstall Avisynth and install the version that you download from this link

try uninstalling just aivsynth, and then get version 2.5.6 from here (get the .exe, it's under 2.5.6a)

2.5.7 should work as well, but some members have had random green bar problems with 2.5.7 (to which the workaround was to get 2.5.6)
