vegas trimmer issue

ok this has only just started happening like 2-3 weeks ago and i really dont get it. when im using my trimmer to cut out trips, when going for frame accuracy i press left and right on my keyboard to shift one frame. simple ya?
recently my thing has been bugging out and it wont shift to the right, only to the left. this isnt in all circumstances tho, for example i was trimming from one clip and i was at fram 2 mins 7 seconds the 8th frame, now i could shift right up until 2 mins 8 seconds, then it would stop, it wouldnt let me shift right using the keyboard, i had to use the mouse to shift my select tool any further to the right. this just makes absolutly no sense to me.

i realise it doesnt really stop editing or anything but its very inconvienient. anyone know what i could try?

How are the clips encoded?

lagarith, from its noir and chrono crusade and for 2 diff project files but its happening with both (the example i gave was a chrono crusade clip) but it happens with both
