vegas 6.0d exporting my video :/

Post by prYzm » Fri Sep 28, 2007 2:20 am

ok i used xvid video files to construct my amv in vegas 6.0d, everythings done and i just want to export it as a decent file. this is my first 'decent' amv so i wanted to upload it to the net. Atm tho i can only see how to export as an avi or as a wmv via vegas 6.0d. ppl dont seem to like wmv's and avi's are much too large, i read about exporting as a huffYUV then using virtualdub (with aviSynth) to compress but i cant figure out how to convert into a huffYUV with vegas, (and the ermac/absolutedestiny guide doesnt specify). my comp should b able to handle it easy and i have plenty of room just need to figure out how.

anyone who can help i would be very appreciative

ok new problem tho, ive tried exporting my file as an avi using both huffYUV (ensuring rgb) and as an uncompressed as reccomended by the guide, however when using either of these i get quite a bit of frame skipping in my video file. after looking carefully a few times ive noticed its not always the same frames that are skipping, it just skips them so that the video appears 'chunky'. ive tried exporting as upper lower and none fields (the video should be in lower but i thought id try the others just in case).
now it runs fine in my wmv render (what i did the first time mostly just to see what it looked like in a small file). but that defeats the purpose of gettin quality AND reduced size instead of just a small size, can anyone tell me what i might be doing wrong with the frame skipping?

If I'm right,then what you're getting is not a frame skip,but instead lags during playback (meaning: PC is too slow to playback file normally).

Solution : render it as DivX/XviD file to check out if you're having the same problem.

If your problem is gone,then just render it as lossless(Huffyuv or Lagarith),and let it trough VDubMod and(not necessary) AviSynth.
:D I like laughter ;DD

try compressing the uncompressed file in Virtualdub and see if that new file skips...

you can either VdubMod->XVID/avi it
or Zarxgui -> h.264/mp4 it
