How do i overlay a video without having to tone down the opacity?

what kind of overlay are you trying to do?

just a transparency? or like a cookie cutter?

I think he wants it so that you can see through an object to something behind while still kinda seeing the one in front.

In this case Chroma Keyer is your best prolly.

Open the chroma keyer menu thenuse the eye dropper type thing to copy the color of the thing on screen that you want to be transparent.

If you need visual aid say so and i'll provide it.

Actually im looking for that so u can see the video over another but i dont like lowering the opacity since it darkens the image, i was able to overlay video over another video without having to anything but now i cant seem to do it so plz show me an example of wat ur talikng about, but im pretty sure its that thing ur talking the chroma.

would you have a screencap of what you are trying to do?

cause what it sounds like is overlaying and bringing down the opacity, but when the overlay goes over nothing it just looks darker...

it will look darker/lighter depending on whats below it...

usually just get something like imageshack or photobucket and upload the image there then use the image tags to make it show up in the post

or just link to the image


either way im checking out the video

looks like like to me just an ordinairy overlay
possibly added the "glow" effect to some of the clips

used the "flash" transition quite a bit...

you happen to still have the project file?
if you did you could click the effects icon and see what you did to them..

also you used some pretty light colored clips to begin with, so is it possible thats your problem?
