That's exactly what the trimmer does. It just creates a window that let's you scrub through the clip's own timeline, mark in\out points, and drop that segment into the main timeline.gotenks794 wrote:This is what makes the most sense to me:

apparently the drag the entire clip onto the timeline and trim it there?

I've never used the trimmer. I have a feeling that is why I use subclips. Split my clips on the main timeline, create subclips, then drag them back on the timeline where I want them. I'm guessing that's similar to the reason for using the trimmer.Chaobunny12 wrote:How do people do things without the trimmer?![]()
