It's not a good idea to use divx either. But go ahead, use it and see what happens.

Hmm... I don't have Virtual Dub but I got EO Video, I see it's reccomended also in the text via flashing banner above.
It's a great program, but I have problems with it... When I convert to AVI or MPEG the video gets too big and the quality gets worse... Does someone have any suggestions?

what are you encoding with? If you don't have Vdubmod, get it from amv app beta or amv app v.2.1. You can get a lot of great tools for developing your video from amv app. Then, follow the nice neat little guide on it.

First of all, thanks for the answer.
I Installed the Vdubmod now... My objective for now is to get my video formats compatible with S. Vegas so I can make AMV's. I'm not very familiar with the whole video properties stuff so I'm kinda still learning. And I would also like to know what is the best format to use in Vegas.
I got videos with Xvid compression and I'm kinda getting confused in the VDub, the videos get to big when I save them as avi or mkv. Is avi even good for Vegas?
Anyway, if you fell like explaining some of these stuff, it will be appreciated.
