Help! Sony Vegas

I put a video in Sony Vegas and it played the whole clip fine but there are some parts where it shows up as red, where it doesn't not show up in the preview. I am wondering what is going on here and how can I fix it?

what codec's are you using? also are you editing with fake avis? i've seen something similiar to this already in my vegas cause i changed the reso of one script by accident, but it could also be a codec problem.

I actually got it to work, I had to reformat my computer and didn't update my Sony Vegas. After I did that, it was fine.
