A few questions on Vegas
1. All my source files are 720x480, but when I render in Vegas, sometimes the aspect ratios don't seem to match. Is there a reason for this/ how can I fix it?
2. When I render my AMVs, the flashes show up in little bars above and below the picture, making it look as though I have the aspect ratio messed up, even if it's correct. Why does this happen if the videos are 720x480 and should technically take up the entire screen and not leave room for the flashes above and below?
3. Sometimes when I'm masking, a quick frame shows up that doesn't fit the markers but it's between two points from which I can mask after zooming in the most. It's so quick that it doesn't appear to show up in my final video, but I was wondering if there was a way to zoom in/place markers in tighter spots in event pan/crop and mask.
4. Sometimes the preview window is a frame off from the image I see when I'm masking in pan/crop. This could just be my computer being stupid, but it annoys me and I wanted to know if anyone knows a way to fix this either.
Thanks xD

Re: A few questions on Vegas
your pixel aspect ratio it off. Press "Alt+Enter" and look at the window that comes up. If it says the pixel aspect ratio is 1.000, then it probably needs to be set to 0.9 to match you footage. (Or vice-versa)1.

Thanks, that worked

Do you mean the settings of the footage? It's at 23.976 fps, 720x480, compressed with HuffyuvJaddziaDax wrote:what are you using for source? O.o

Re: A few questions on Vegas
For 3 and 4, try going to Tools > Quantize to Frames. Actually, it might be under options and not tools; I forget and I'm away from my Vegas machine right now.
It sounds like you have that Quantize to Frames option turned off, so it's basically allowing you to edit and cut in the middle of frames, as opposed to just being able to cut in between two frames. It's a great feature for working with audio (which isn't measured in frames), but it sucks for video.

It does now. I had to fix it because my project settings were on the default 29.97 fpsJaddziaDax wrote:does your project settings match your source's frame rate?
