Sony Vegas 8.0 -Blank Screen- Help!

Post by Niar » Sun Feb 24, 2008 1:05 am

First off, Hello and thanks for taking your time to read my
topic. :)

The problem I am having is:
I am trying to load a full scale ova file onto
my newly downloaded sony vegas 8.0 however
the picture is just a black screen.
However, I can hear the sound perfectly.

So having encountered this problem I tested
to see if my files visual does not work at all
by playing it on my media player called GomPlayer
(korean media player)and it seems to work perfectly
fine.

Then to see if it was the sony vegas I tried to edit another
video which was in the same format which was .avi
That also works fine. =_=

Anyone have a solution or at least an explanation for this
problem that I am having?
you think of one for me ^__^

.avi is supported yes, but the AVIs are ENCODED in DivX/Xivd

You need to re-encode them.

then go to file->save

use those to mark the beginning and the end of the "clips" you want so you can save room
if you don't have huffyuv or lagarith you can get them from here and here respectively

The best thing you can do is to take this guide:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtechbeta/

Read threw it and learn at least Avi Synth. Than you take this chapter:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... ogetc.html
You write your script, load it into VDM and you can convert it for sure.

but my gomplayer can what is going on T__T
In the avi could be a h.264 stream (and that´s bad because it´s only fully supported in a container format like .mp4 or .mkv). So VDM probably won´t support it without frameserving (-> Avi Synth scripts).
You can find me on YT under "Bauzi514". Subscribe to never miss my AMV releases. :amv:
