A noob question about external hard drives and vegas

If I save my loseless Lagarinth clips on an external hard drive, will my Vegas project file be able to read them from the hard drive?

YES!!

Unless the drive letter will be changed somehow...

But if that's the case then Vegas will give you a message to search your project files after starting it up
then you just have to assign the new directory and you can continue working...

I have to buy an external HD for my Digital Video Production class and was hoping to use it for more.
