For examples of the effects I want to know how to do, I'm going to use the AMV here. I know this AMV is probably up here somewhere, and someone's going to post a link to it, saying something like:
"You mean the one [url=?]here?[/ url]

But the point is that it's the same AMV.
Moving on, here's what I want to know how to do:
The effect used from 0:05-0:14. I know masking is involved for the front character, and the back is probably a picture file gotten by "screencapping" in VDub. But the 'bars' of animation going on and off (especially the "vibrating" ones used later in the clip), how do I make those?
At 0:28, they make Gin look... different, I suppose, on the beat. How did they make that happen? Same type deal at 0:31, I think.
Round 1:07, They get the masked character to be "colored in" oddly. I notice a similar odd coloring used for backgrounds on other AMV's, when some other part is masked. How do I get those? Just... random pictures, or are they in Vegas?
Same sort of question for 1:14, They gave Gin a blue hue and added a background. How'd that go? Plus, how'd they manage to have another clip playing on the side there?
1:38. How? Same basic idea as 3:24, I'd guess, although if it's different, I'd love to know how.
1:40 - Vibrating character. Again, how?
I hope you don't think I'm stupid, I've looked at all the effects on Vegas 6 (most of them just have something to do with coloring) and I can't manipulate them to get stuff like this. I assume there's something more. Help?
