burning - if you want to do it in vegas id say your best bet is playing with the generated media and make the background color transparent
To get it to look like it did in the video, thats quite impossible with Vegas
i bet with the right keyframes/settings you could get it pretty darn close

While it might be possible, it's important to realize that it's also possible to cut down a tree with a pocket knife. It might not be the most elegant process, and it might take a lot longer to achieve the same results - but if you don't value your time all that much it's not a big deal.

I use it at AMV panels i run to describe what can be done with WMM, but it works on many levels.

Yes Yes.
I want to mask. D:
but but but
I looked in the Pan/Crop box for the Masking button under "Position" and it wasn't there. D:
I'm using Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8.0
so shouldn't it have it? D:
Other then photoshop, is there any other way I could mask? :S

"Movie Studio" version doesn't have the masking option... you will need the actual full version of the program not the "Movie Studio" version

it might take a lot longer but you can always do masking in THE GIMP or photoshop...

But I've heard that those can only mask JPG err...picture files. :/
I don't even have photoshop on this computer. D:
Would it mask a video file? :S
Also..is there anyway I can download the free trial of Sony Vegas 6.0? (Since it has masking..)
Because I already expired my free trials for 7.0 and 8.0..
I searched it up on google and tryed to download it off sonycreativesoftware.com
but everytime I click on the link to download..it says "Page cannot be Found".

yea you would have to export all of the frames individually and cut out the parts you wanted then import all the frames into Vegas, as I said photoshop or The Gimp would take a very long time.

I'm not sure where a trial of vegas 6 can be found but I do know where you can get Vegas 6.0 for $99
