1. But we are talking about anime which have origins from Japan...
2. Many people are watching AMVs, only because they want to find new good songs, and when all these people are watching Anime, they would probably interested in this Category...
3. It would motivate more people to work with Japanese music, having more AMVs featuring the same overused English songs is not good for me...
4. I believe VCA is not a competition, rather than that its a process with main goal to categorize the AMVs of each year, so it would be nice for me, to be able to find any worth mentioned Japanese AMV realeased on each year.

I like the idea of Best Story, or Best Tribute.
I also like very much the best live action or best use of live action, but there really isn't a way of compiling a list. Not everyone has added a place to show their live action vids in the thread, or had them recommended there, so it wouldn't be a very comprehensive list.
