x2, though I normally wouldn't have recommended it for this particular category. But since you mentioned the lyrics which I didn't read it kinda makes sense now.

I remember when this one really surprised me with its lyric sync and the way she handled the whole audio. It's a pretty damn original and creative mix.

While the video itself isn't all that astonishing for me I always felt that the idea/concept behind it was refreshing. I believe this is the best category for it.

Most original action video this year due to its steady flow of sports anime action sync.

Most creative design work in an AMV 2008. Dunno if he enters or what but I still want to mention it.

Even though I was complaining about how the video isn't very solid when it comes to the reviewabillity and it drags on too much at parts but I still think that mixing this audio and forcing it on the video source takes some guts, especially when it ends up looking that good.

Most original plot/storytelling.

Features a very creative mood sync and compositions. The anime/LA concept itself is also pretty original in this one.

2k9... :\

Also, I feel lame for forgetting Clan Warfare! Pwnage? - while End is pretty much the most original, this one is REALLY deserving too.

It was released four days into 2009.
