As a kind of training for making my first AMV I'm watching a lot of AMVs to get and idea of what to do and what not to do. I think this will help a lot, so here we go:

The rule is simple: only AMVs with instrumental songs. No singing! Thats all.

I'm lazy for that stuff so I'll probably not give more than 5 opinions :p
