Okay, this has entirely NO bearing on my Rounds in my other thread. That is a completely different deal. In that thread, the only payment I ask is that you be quicker than everyone else.
In this op exchange, I ask either for a 1:1 exchange on
OR
You add something to your avatar or signature denouncing stripperbutt. The rebellion MUST be clearly visible. No -5million font. I am the final say on what is and is not qualified. Each org member is limited to ONE op, no more. There are no restrictions on content.
Let the games begin.

I'm flipping off stripperbutt. I think that qualifies as a denouncement. Much more than words could at least. Op this one and be glad I didn't send you to DTSEM.

...what the hell are you talking about? That IS the correct aspect ratio... And I even said in the info:Kionon wrote:ASPECT RATIO, ASPECT RATIO, ASPECT RATIO, ASPECT RATIO.Cornwiggle wrote:I'll bite. I'd like to see what you think of this, since I already OPed your Jubei vid

On a technical note, please do not bitch to me about aspect ratios are weird in this vid. The anime DOES that for comedic effect. For example in the very beginning, Koinosuke runs past these guys, having a dramatic moment (in widescreen), he runs by them so fast he changes the aspect ratio back. So...it's IN the anime.

Aspect Ratio: 1.33:1
That's full screen, pal. The aspect ratio in yours is wrong...how ironic.

First of all, I was being facetious. I'm a stickler for aspect ratio, everyone knows it, I was making a joke.
However, despite the fact you are indeed correct that the series does change aspect ratios, it does not do so by virtue of the way the footage is on the DVD. It does so by way of flagging. However, there is no flagging on your video (nor on mine, for that matter), and so when you added the different footages together, which had apparently been ripped/converted to the same aspect ratio, at least part of the video was in the wrong aspect ratio. There is a portion of my video in 221:100, it is letterboxed to 16:9. It isn't about the resolution, it's about whether or not pictures look correct, ie, the circles are round. No matter what the resolution, the circles must always be round. So In my case, I did the entire video in 16:9, since the majority of my footage from Jubei was so formatted, and letterboxed what didn't fit. I did not have any of the 4:3 source, but if I had, I would have been forced to crop it to maintain aspect ratio. Even if the series was meant to be viewed mostly at 4:3, with the two widescreen resolutions being letterboxed, it still would have been that the source maintained the circles as round as displayed on the TV. Since I have no flagging, I did this manually, and therefore I am not in the least bit wrong. You are, since you did not account for the lack of flagging, and use a coherent aspect ratio for all footage.
I'm not angry at you at all, just for clarity's sake. But indeed it would be quite the faux pas for me to have an incorrectly formatted video after my constant diatribes about aspect ratio. So I am defending myself to any outside viewers. In other words, don't take this personally, I just want to make sure everyone understands what to do in case they run into a multi-AR source.
