Making AMV's with IMovie

I wanted to know if these were any good for IMovie AMVs. I know that using IMovie really puts a limit on things, but I don't have a laptop, and I love making amv's. I know I can't really judge them by the views they get, so I wanted to know what you guys think. If you guys know of any better movie/amv app, feel free to let me know. I like doing this as a hobby so I wouldn't mind paying for it if it's really good.
