Hay dont worry about it. The codec is xvid. THis is about the second time it has happened so no big deal.

Oh yeah to tell the truth the other person had to go to doom9.org and download the codec before it would work. Guess that means ill have to start using another codec from now on. Ummmm any ideas on what i should use?

You should use MPEG1 or MPEG2 because ive noticed alot of videos have them and like every one supports MPEG1 and alot of people support MPEG2 and im going to the site to see if i have it.

That is what i planed on using in to encode my next vid. I just think that they also give a better quality video also.

MPEG-2, maybe. Personally, the only reason I use MPEG-1 is to make smaller versions that can fit on my university webspace, and for maximum portability. And of course, the preferred format for conventions is MPEG-2. Anything I'm going to send to the Donut gets done in DivX-compatible XviD; as far as I can tell, MPEG-4-based encodes give you better quality for comparable filesizes.
