My issues were not with your scores: numbers mean different things to different people. I pretty much ignore them, low and high. It's why I hate stars and QCs. A numerical value is dependent highly on context. My context is based primarily on a academic scale (you get anything under 7 from me, you pretty much failed that portion of the exam; 9 = A, 8 = B, 7 = C, 6 = Maybe a Pass 5-1 = F). It's your commentary I took issue with, primarily because I was genuinely worried that you had a version, one way or another, that did not allow for proper playback on your computer.

Now if you are saying you are fully aware of the facts surrounding the creation of this video, and were so aware during the writing of your opinion, and that the copy of the video you had played the same on your computer as it does on mine, then we must have a different view of what constitutes sync. It happens. I won't pretend it doesn't, because philosophies do differ, but any suggestion that I simply allowed massive portions of source to be included unedited is simply inaccurate. The fact that you do include the word "seems" is what keeps it in the realm of opinion, at least. In essence, I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree. You may not "feel" that my sync was there, which is certainly your right, but that doesn't make it a fact. The fact is there is sync and I can prove it.

I'm not at all hostile or angry or mad nor even defensive. When I wrote my response to your opinion (and by the way, the commentary within this thread was not directed at you, it seemed to be a common misunderstanding that I had apparently spent loads of time on this video, and that I had complete control over its elements, when I had neither) I was genuinely concerned I had created an mp4 that no one with an older computer could watch, as that is precisely what Streicher told me I had done with such a high bitrate. If that was the case, as in, the sync was completely borked, I needed to know, so I could fix it. As it is, I still have no way of knowing whether or not this is the case.

The one exception was telling me to read the guides. In hindsight, I should have laughed. It's certainly a funny thing to suggest. I'm not making fun of you, and I'm not being egotistical (at least not any more than I usually am), but well... the only real response I can have to suggesting that I read the guides is "lurk moar." Perhaps in General AMV.

Getting. I still have the list of ops to get through. Yg's is done, Godix's is done, that leaves Drake264's and Slopaque's and yours. I'll also be responding to your op via the creator's comments, but quickly: ripping is not traditionally included in Iron Chef competitions. Usually one's pre-processing and post-processing is independent. The time limit only applies to editing and effects. However, I only spent about an hour pre-processing, and only the encoding time on post-processing. As to how I achieved the nice shiny clarity, it was a ton of avisynth filters. I've been using avisynth for years, so it took me very little time (maybe five minutes?) to type the commands and filters I needed from memory. Once you learn the commands, you really have no excuse for NOT cleaning up your footage.
