Effects for mac
I use Final Cut Express and I was looking to branch out into some better effects. Are there any effect suites for mac that are low to no cost?

Re: Effects for mac
Thanks for the quick response, but I was thinking more on a consumer/prosumer level rather than professional.

Re: Effects for mac
Well, generally anything beyond basic editing and effects built into the editor is generally a professional level kind of thing. The only free effects program I can think of is WAX (http://www.debugmode.com/wax/), but its Windows. I'm sure there has to be something out there for Mac, but Google is your friend. And if you're a student, high school or college, you can always get an academic price. And even with these effects programs, many the effects you see are from expensive plugins for the programs. The way I generally see it is there are free ways including doing them yourself (e.g. lots of images and keyframing) or paying to make it easier.
Insert clever text/image here.

You realize mac is a "prosumer" platform right? There just isn't a solid middle ground, so you are not going to find something like a Vegas [if that is the type of software you're referring to] on there. If you are serious about what you want to do then invest in the bigger packages.
However I'm assuming you are using Final Cut. In which case you will most likely be able to do most of the things you want. However if you are interested in stepping it up then you simply have no other choice.
