I need new headphones. Suggestions?
My current stereo headphones that I used had the plastic snap awhile back, and tape is no longer cutting it. I would like to get a decent pair that also have a mic attached, but aren't super expensive.
Any suggestions?

What's your price range and mobility requirements?
Honestly, nothing I've tried comes close to Sennheiser monitors.
They do make gaming sets as well, like this one:

As one review rightly notes there though, "Not as good quality as the high-end Sennheiser phones but still good. "
For these latter ones, take your pick:

I have HD515s, got them for ~$110 at a local store. Wouldn't trade them for anything.
Personally, I prefer to mess with a separate mic than miss out on these

Indeed. I suggest also getting a separate mic if you can.. depending on your budget there's a ton to choose from.
I currently have two headphones - Sony MDR-F1 and the Sony MDR-V900HD. I actually also had the Sennheiser HD515, they were good, but kind of in the middle of my sony ones (not fully open-air, but not fully closed either), so I had no use for them and gave them away.
I suggest getting the Sony MDR-V600, really good headphones for the price, and picking up a usb microphone, most likely the logitech one.

So for where I'm coming from, my current busted headphones are some old sony ones that only cost about $15, so pretty much anything is an improvement for me.
) As to mobility, I'm not entirely sure what you mean . . . I'm not going to be using them anywhere then sitting at my computer?
Both of those pairs look really good (although the first ones are more in my price range). On the first one though, can the mic swivel or is it locked in place?
Which mics though would you recommend? I'll eventually probably get one, it's just not a priority (hell, the headphones are only a priority right now because -- and I mean this seriously -- I can't find any tape at the moment to bind them back together and am using them with only the right ear -_- )
Yeah, all that stuff is pretty much out of my price range, but does look pretty nifty
Let's just go with less than $50? (probably should've stated that originallyOtohiko wrote:What's your price range and mobility requirements?

That and size generally. It's a well-known fact that a lot of good-quality headphones are pretty big.Tsunami Jones wrote: Let's just go with less than $50? I think the mic should swivel on that one, but honestly I don't remember.

The earbuds i ended up buying have gotten clogged with earwax or something and i can't even hear out of one of them. They also contributed to me getting 1 or 2 ear infections. I need a new pair of walking ones now too =/Tsunami Jones wrote:Yes. Six months ago.guy07 wrote:Didn't we already have this thread ....?
