Fast, heavy, excellent songs for an action AMV

Post by Earl6282 » Sat Jul 16, 2005 4:58 am

Does anybody know of any really good, fast, heavy songs? I know a couple good ones, but it's only a few, and they only go so far. I was looking for more, but I don't want the ones that have been used serveral times, like the same Linkin Park songs, Slipknot, etc. I mean, those are awesome, I just want something fresh. "When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000 was pretty sweet, but again, it is used a lot.

So if anybody knows a really good song like that (that isn't used a whole lot in AMVs) let me know, please.

Explore your music a bit more. Delve deeper into the depths of what metal has to offer, tons of possible AMV music there. Just to name a few (and some of the better known bands), Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Nightwish, Kamelot and Sonata Arctica. There are some AMVs using those songs, and most of them are pretty good, if not awesome.

Fast and heavy first thing I think of is Strapping Young Lad.

"Laid to Rest" by Lamb of God or "Spit it Out" by Slipknot are pretty fast and heavy.
Be non-conformist! (Everyone's doing it!)
I guess Max Payne isn't much of a yaoi fan...

None is faster than DRAGONFORCE, however, they are not really "good".

It's Freiur Frei (sp?), which translates fo Fire Free/Open Fire

Anyways, you want some heavy fast music, my personal favorite is Pull Harder at the Strings of your Martyr by Trivium. The best place to find Fast, driving metal would be listening to ChroniX Agression on Winamp. Go to Chronixradio.com to get the link to their station. That's all they play (although some of the songs are a bit slower, but trust me, give it a listen and you'll find whta you are looking for).

I second Children of Bodom. Also, pretty much anything off Dream Theater's Train of Thought is fast and heavy... but probably longer than any AMV should be. Also Nevermore's Dead Heart in a Dead World or Enemies of Reality. For a specific Nevermore song, I've always wanted to see an AMV with "The River Dragon Has Come" or "Believe in Nothing."
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Eh... none of these songs or bands aren't really that great. Some are way off-key (which would make for a really sloppy AMV). Others involve a lot of screaming, which is awesome, but the screaming just really blends in with the heavy guitar. Maybe I'll just stick with all of the songs by Refused that I have.
