After begging my brother to take me to a rock concert he finaly agreed (We are black folk who think we will get murderd by Evil white people at rock concerts)Well after he agreed I got to pick the concert!To make things flow nice and easy at first I picked the Incubus concert with special guest 30 seconds 2 mars...I just know this concert is gonna kick ass! Im gonna go get the tickets in the next few hours

The only thing you really have to worry about at most concerts are the unhip people that can come around. I mean, I'm definitely not the epitome of "kewl", but I like to think that I'm at least above the suburban couple in their 40's wearing sweaters with a five year old, videotaping a Rammstein concert. And the fat goths. Watch out for the fat goths.

I hate you (j/k). The Incubus concert here sold out in 2 days, about a week before I even heard about it. Anyway, I've seen Incubus before and they put on a great show, so have fun.

Hm, if it's an outdoor show I'd most fear those people selling overpriced stereotypical "alternative" crap in the booths.

My advice: think HARD before getting a bunch of souveniers. Souveniers are EVIL at concerts. Think $50 for a shirt, $30 for a CD, etc.

Oh, and Kthulu, about that suburban couple you mentioned, personally I think it's great they are letting their five year old listen to Rammstein.

yeah, i remember my first concert...the HFStival at ravens stadium here in Bmore. it kicked ASS. jimmy's chickin shack, offspring, chili peppers, live, moby, the bosstones. went w/ my dad. he used to go to all the hfstivals. he stopped cuz he got married...but we went to this one. it was the last good one, spring 99. by the fall show, limp bizkit and linkin park and that crap had shown up on hfs (a radio station) and it started sucking. the station used to be an alternative station, like beck, and the ramones (its nearly 30 years old) but then they started being a rock top 20, playing crap, and what kills me is that theyre still billing themselves as alternative. they play friggin disturbed...and soad. god, those are 2 of the worst bands to come out in the last few years, especially disturbed. i hate them and sliplnot equally. anyway, ive also been to a weird al concert (IT KICKED MORE ASS THAN THE HFSTIVAL), a better than ezra concert, everclear (got a shirt, disco still sucks), and crosby stills n nash. all of em were great, specially weird al...
