Anyone here ever performed or played anime music?

I was just wondering this. I can play the same song as Gren from Cowboy Bebop just by listening to it a few times because it was really simple and I can play the repeating phrase in "Tank" because those are easy enough to figure out by ear if you have the music handy to listen to as much as you want. So, can anyone else play anything? (Video games count as well)

I d/l "Tank" right after Bebop came out, that was fun to play. We had a tenor sax, drumset, and me on trombone.

Also, the Super Mario Bros. theme is *really* easy on trombone, all of two slide positions, IIRC.

I can play the beginning bass part of Tank! and the whole song of Ride on Shooting Star by The Pillows (FLCL end theme) on my guitar.

on a related note, there were a couple of people who would play songs from anime or video games on request at Fanime. I found out that the Sailor Moon theme is very different when played on string instruments.

...sadly, I cannot play any instrument.

After hearing Kikaider play that sad song on his guitar all the time, it gave me more incentive to learn how to play mine...but I need lessons to learn.

One of my songs I made called 'Pick a Card' is basicly a remix of the song that dude on the flute played from Sailor Moon. The alien guy.

That's about it. I need to learn to play a real instrument.

Hmm I like to find themes and transpose them. Currently, (Thanks to the help of )v(ajin Koji) I'm taking music for Power Tab (Ironic since I can't play guitar or read tabs) and transposing it. Basically, someone's already figured out the tab for it, then I run it through Power Tab and transpose it. I'm working on a couple Naruto bgms right now ^.~

I play the flute by the way.
