Barenaked Ladies, "Upside Down." One of my current theme songs, a rather neurotic song about pathologically avoiding change, even good change, out of fear of upsetting the applecart. *dreamy sigh*

I almost wish I could vid it, but it has a strange rhythm and I'd most likely screw it up. It's from their most recent disc, Everything to Everyone. Which I thoroughly like, even if one of my favorites (the misleadingly punctuated "Yes! Yes!! Yes!!!") is only on the bonus DVD.

Okay, that's all for the mainstream portion of our thread. Back to My Music Is More Obscure Than Yours, Part XXXXXXXIIII. ;)

Not too obscure, I hope.

Black Sabbath - Iron Man

Since Ozzfest is coming to Texas soon (or already has, I'm not that big a fan), the local rock station has been playing a lot of Sabbath. And this song has always appealed to me. 'Cause it rocks. And rolls. All night long, sweet Suzie....

How about this gem I found

Green Jello - Obey the Cow God

NOT Green Jelly, the original Green Jello version. Which is quite bad. :)

Sarah McLachlan, "World On Fire"

I need something to mellow out to between an endless barrage of KMFDM and various J-Pop artists.

Just finished watching an odd sci-fi flick called "Smilla's Sense of Snow". (You didn't say it had to be music.)

Right now I've switched to the latest mix from Armin Van Buuren, one of the best trance/progressive DJs out there. This is a 2-CD set called "A State of Trance 2004".

Oceanlab's "(Singing) Satellite" just finished, moving into Robert Nickson's "Spiral" now...both are very good although I'd pick Fictivision's "Escape" as the best of this set.

Amazon has some clips here.

See Saw- Emerald Green

I am permanently stuck on this song. It's so pretty ^_^ Though I spent hours trying to find the complete version since the cd it came on (.hack//legend of twilight OST) only features the t.v. version ~_~

Gentle Giant - On Reflection (live)

Of all the bands I've heard, I consider GG to be the most talented as far as pure instrumental ability and group-work go. Always sounding very together and diverse - and each of them played about a half-dozen instruments, and it's not a stretch to say you hear most of those in this song. Always pushing their mix of rock with Renaissance English music. Old-schoo 8)
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
