Well, the man certainly knew how to make a dramatic exit. I mean, stabbing oneself in the heart is not the usual perferred method of suicide. Can't say I was a big fan of his music, but my condolensces to those who really feel the loss.

he didn'treally play in a band.

More of a Dashboard Confessional type thing, but with a little more help than Chris Carrabba gets.

Anyways, it's "Sweet Adeline"

The little I've heard of his music, I've liked a lot. It seems heartfelt even if it is melancholy, and I really like that. (Have already rambled in my journal about how "Happiness" was one of the few songs I could listen to in a really difficult time in my life.)

I've always meant to buy some of his CDs, but I never have, and now I feel like such a jerk for wanting to buy them now. :x

Reading about him later it seems so sad, seeing how miserable people can be all the time. It makes you wonder about a lot of things.

Enough rambling. But yes, I've been reading articles about it and everything over the last few days.

And there is no thread here because he's not metal or hard techno. Hello?

He used to have a band called Heatmiser in the mid-90s before he went solo. I think he was in something before then too, but Heatmiser was where I first heard of him. Pity, he was a talented guy.

Yeah, I've heard of him, seen him live and own his CDs. But I have no sympathy for suicides. It's a complete waste...

Of course it's a waste, but some people don't have the neurochemical capacity to be perfectly happy all the time. :? I mean, the guy was relatively successful and still miserable. Some people can't help it.

Eh, no comment.
