What does one do when an instrumental is stuck in his head and he has absolutely no idea where it's from, but vaguely believes it to be from anime? The General Music forum, of course.
(high) (-1)
|CB..|GAB|CB..| GAB|CB..
1 23 123 123 1 23 1 2 3
(octave info)
The instrument is a wind instrument of some sort for the first measure, then either the same instrument or a guitar... it's mid-to-low tempo 3/4 time... I thought it was from Hellsing, but can't find it... poss. from .hack//sign, FFX, or Spirited Away, with a low probability of it being from Cowboy Bebop.
Or it could not be from anime in the first place and I'm screwed.
So, if you have a piano to go and play the notes on and can figure it out, i'd be indebted to you, because this song isn't gonna leave my head until I figure out where it's from and grab an mp3.
thanks,
-DOKool
I have the notes, do you have the song?

I still haven't figured out your music ascii notation style.
Can you put in something like this?
E3 D3 C3 D3 E3 E3 E3 (with octave after the note) (mary had a little lamb)
It makes it much easier to understand
(and yes, octaves matter a lot, and speeds up recognition on my part a lot too, so if I can't figure out exactly where your octaves go, I would have a lot of trouble)
The best bet tho would be to use a midi editor (like noteworthy) and create a midi for people to listen to (and get the song stuck in their head XD)

Do you possibly have any idea what the chording may be for it?? Cause it does sound farmiliar to me...so I sat down and started to play on piano, and messed around. I think it was a happy song using just C maj and G maj...but in that case it becomes C maj to C maj7 and then G maj+9/D...but thats just useless placebo...
So uhm... yeah...if you have any ideas it would help
Maybe I'll remix the song...
**Setra goes to play song on piano**
