lack of "classics"

Post by Lone Wolf » Mon Feb 17, 2003 4:34 pm

All the music in these AMVs are mostly new-school. What about The Rolling Stones, The Who, Steppenwolf, Van Halen, etc.?

A lot of the new amv creators are young and they make videos to what they listen to. That's all there is to it really.

I used an oldies song in my latest project...and in a video that I did a long, long time ago. I wanted to do a group project with Quadrophenia, but it never came to. So it goes.

I'm using a Beastie Boys song for my current vid, if that can count as an oldie :P

But for reeeaaaallll old school, I want to use a symphony from one of the major composers of the 17th-18th century in my next-next vid. Or maybe I'll go Opera, it would be interesting :D

I would think there would be a good few Beatles songs out there, but Meh! maybe not.

I've seen a ton of pretty decent Van Halen vids. They're floating all about. But a majority of the songs were recorded post Sammy so they suck. Lets just face it everything after Haggar is complete shit.

the oldest song that I have used was, New York Mining disaster, from The Bee Gees...
