Decided to forgo the extra drives in my main system and opt for a DIY NAS build. 32TB worth of server grade hard drives is quite a pretty penny.

So, after a few weeks of dealing with insurance companies, my leasing company, and the dealership I finally got myself into a new car after having my old one totaled by a deer coming home from Indianapolis the other week. First new car I've ever owned and I'm estatic at all the cool features and what not available on the model. Would have been nice to hold out until the 2017 models cuz' I know about the new features they have but I needed one now and I'd say the new car is still pretty spiffy.

So yeah. I'm broke for the next few years while I pay this thing off. But now I own a 2016 Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid! Here are a few pics for ya'll photo/car guys. Though it's the best I could do with the lighting Saturday and my phone's camera.

A pretty nice motorcycle jacket, which was 80% off on clearance, and a couple of work shirts.

Inasmuch as a 50cc scooter counts, yeah. I've had my motorcycle license since February of last year, but I wanted to pace myself before getting anything larger. After I few months, I was (and after over a year now, am) more than ready to get something larger, but I don't have the money. Especially since the two main bikes I'm interested in are ~10K when new, and not old enough yet to find used at a decent price (or at all, really).

In Japan, my normal car license covers small scooters or motorbikes. I've been thinking getting a SuperCub:

It's interesting to see how this is determined in other places - is it just based on engine size or are there other conditions to determine whether one needs motorcycle-specific licensing?

It's engine sized, mostly. If you have a normal car license, you can ride anything 50cc and under (SuperCubs start at 49cc). If you have a normal car license, you are exempt from the written test and can get a quick addition made to your license for 125cc-400cc after the riding test. Anything higher than 400, you need to do both the written test and the riding test. The written test can be taken in English.
