I started downloading mp3s about 1.5-2 years ago. 2 years ago, I had roughly 10CDs, 5 tapes, and I spent about $70 on music every year. 2 years have passed, and I have amassed 1,926 mp3s at last count. But I also have nearly 80 CDs. Five are mixes I made, and the rest I bought new, used, or through BMG.

Yeah... uhh... like I said, most of my mp3s come from my own CDs :D

I've got my computer's audio-out simply going through my stereo. I keep 192 kbps - 320 kbps MP3s of nearly all my albums on my hard-drive.. a lot more convenient than switching CDs so often.

I'm in agreement with what seems to be... uhh... being said. My CD purchases have dramatically increased proportionaly to the dramatic increasing of my downloading of MP3s over the years. New MP3s = new bands to listen to = new CDs to buy.

And yes, going to shows is the absolute best way to support the bands ^o^.
