Re: StarCraft II Discussion
Diggin' campaign mode so far.. thanks to nightly 4v4 comp stomps and work, I've not been able to finish it... friends of mine have and they are like "OMG finish it so we can talk about it."
I just finished the Zeratul missions, and I have to say...

I don't know why I waste my time with 2v2 Randoms atm when my friends aren't online. You get placed against Arranged Teams half the time, and the other half my partners apparently have never played RTS games before and I have to carry them ... or usually just lose.

Yeah I only play with friends and we properly placed in Gold. We're slowly working our way towards Platinum (Rank 9 atm).JediNight wrote:I don't know why I waste my time with 2v2 Randoms atm when my friends aren't online. As for 1v1, I lucked out and placed Platinum. I guess I should actually say it was bad luck because I don't belong there and have lost every game since. Only got in because my placements were against folks who didn't know what they were doing while I played the Beta and know the basic build orders. I should probably be happy, but I'm not since I don't like being massacred and not learning things.

Watch the replays in those games you are losing and see how they build. It should be good experience and information for you, albeit a bit boring to slog through.

Oh I do. It's not the build orders that are why I'm losing though. If anything we usually have very similar openings. It's more so their micro of their forces that is my downfall. I can get a similar sized force by the time they attack, but they either manage it better or use guerrilla tactics and hit me in a vulnerable spot.JediNight wrote:Watch the replays in those games you are losing and see how they build. Re: StarCraft II Discussion
i tend to not watch my own replays
sometimes I do but it can get a bit boring D=
What I do is watch some pro replays that have commentary from starcraft casters. It's like watching sports and gets pretty enjoyable. I'm subscribed to the following channels on YT:
HuskyStarcraft:

HDstarcraft:

And I recently subbed to sc2tutorial;

It's also nice because the casters end up telling you a bunch of info that you wouldnt think of. For instance, I never used to think about how the map affected a good amount of my gameplay. It also has gotten me into trying new things.

Re: StarCraft II Discussion
Been playing a lot of comp stomp, I was sort of getting tired of it, but tonight I started playing some 2v2 with a friend, and oh my god, what a difference. THIS is the feeling I had with StarCraft back in the good old days. 2v2 is fantastic! =)

I've played A LOT of 2v2 >_>. I actually need to play a little more 1v1 since I'm pretty close to Diamond (I think).Garylisk wrote:Been playing a lot of comp stomp, I was sort of getting tired of it, but tonight I started playing some 2v2 with a friend, and oh my god, what a difference. 1v1 is bad for my health... I get a big adrenaline rush and I can feel my heart pounding. I think I lose an hour of my life for every 10 minutes in 1v1dwchang wrote:I've played A LOT of 2v2 >_>.
