A friend bought Civ: Revolutions and so far it's been ok. It's got some much needed streamlining for the series in general, but on the otherhand it's pretty limited with a small map, 4 other civs plus yourself, and the era's move much quicker. Overall I'd say worth the money, since the harder difficulties are hard, but without quite so much what the hell happened combat.
... though it didn't stop a cruiser with 6 def/off sinking my 9 off/18def battleship. Or when I do a raid from said battleship with knights attacking a riflemen unit and win despite all stats indicating otherwise.

Do the other civs finally wish to survive or do they still have planet-sized balls?Orwell wrote:A friend bought Civ: Revolutions and so far it's been ok. I'm a little lost on what the heck your talking about, but I guess you could say it depends on the civ. They'll strive for a victory in their specialization usually, whether it's Germany fighting a millenium long war with you and the only reason your alive is because your in a strategic defensive position, rushed catapults and galleons, or the French going for a cultural domination victory, or Japan racing, always ahead a couple techs to the point where they had gotten and built up a nice bomber squadron. Overall I would say their focus on surving no matter what is kinda low, but unless your going for a domination victory then ti doesn't matter so much. The zulu were in that same game, but, I don't know what the fuck they were doing besides creating Micronesia, with a city on practically every island. The Origonal Head Hunter wrote:Do the other civs finally wish to survive or do they still have planet-sized balls?Orwell wrote:A friend bought Civ: Revolutions and so far it's been ok. Been getting down and dirty with Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction. And while the initial first levels kind of bored me I'm actually enjoying the game allot despite its little shortcomings here and there. So I actually recommend people to get as with the current "platinum" price cut its actually worth it

This morning, I beat the extra dungeons in Final Fantasy VI for the GBA, and now I have to find a new game. I'm pretty sure I'm going to attack Final Fantasy IV now, and buy it for the DS. I've heard good things about it. I'm also very happy to see Chrono Trigger coming out for the DS here in Novemberish.

I *was* playing the Warhammer Online Open Beta, but that's closed now and I am not buying the game (it's basically WoW...I hate WoW).
This in turn means, I'll be back to playing TF2 and DOTA
