Just finished watching one of the movies on my "to-do list" - Stalingrad. Brutal, harsh and well - meaningless, which in an [anti-]war movie is exactly what I'm looking for. There are a few points when it feels a little contrived, a few points where where the acting is under- or over-done, but all in all - damn, the Germans still make the best war movies. It's also a relief to see a proper movie done on the Stalingrad theme after the total shit that was Enemy at the Gates (don't mind me, I hate that movie with a passion for its 'theme park' version of history).
