XDDD thanks, but I own an mp3 rotation site, I usually have a lot of JRock, and Laruku isn't one of my favorite bands...although I do enjoy Hyde's solo career...

Oh my! J-rock fans!

I have to admit to liking Gackt, Malice Mizer, L'arc~en~Ciel, Psycho le Cemu, and Camino all quite a bit. You can't forget about some of the pop side though, like Nami Tamaki and Kumi Koda (well, she's more J-Hip Hop).

Well, (as everyone I know has heard enough about already), I just got back from 8 months of living in Tokyo, and I listen to a lot of J-Rock and a good bit of J-Pop, although a lot of it was an extension from anime stuff. For example, I got into the Pillows through their work in FLCL, I got into AKFG through Haruka Kanata and Rewrite, Orange Range from Viva Rock and Asterisk... hell, I got into Ellegarden after I heard their cover of Funny Bunny on Synchronized Rockers (the Pillows tribute album from September).

Also, since I spent a lot of time in Shimokitazawa, I have tons and tons of really, really underground J-Rock by bands that have played to no other gaijin ears (not counting a friend or two who I dragged to these shows). I doubt I'd ever randomly run into someone (日本人 or otherwise) who'd heard of Sukunagi or The Mu-zumuzu or Lifetime...

Having been back here for almost a month now, I'll take J-Rock over new American music for the time being.

*gasp* I almost exclusively listens to j-music, and mostly Visual Kei. ^_^

My favorite band is, and will always be, Dir en grey, but I listen to a whole lot of Japanese bands/artists.

Except Diru, I mostly listen to DéspairsRay, MUCC, Malice Mizer, Moi Dix Mois, Kagerou, Vidoll, Miyavi, hide and some Blood, Baroque, Gazette, Berry and Gackt etc. ....o_O; that list got longer than I meant it to.
[I ramble a lot, I know. I'm working on it.]

Dir en grey live in Berlin <3
