Pop stands for Popular music, Monarch. As much as that meaning has been fubared in recent years, the true meaning still stands. If at one point Iron Maiden was popular, then it was pop.
Not arguing either way, I'm just saying that's how it is.

Ok, ammendum to that last post. There's two types of Pop, the one that stands for popular music, and the other that refers to the style of Pop (which aims to be popular, but whatever). el_farlo is obviously referring to pop as in popular music, while you're referring to the style of Pop.FirestormXIII wrote:Pop stands for Popular music, Monarch. thats what i was meaning...not saying that iron maiden was bubble-gum pop(or whatever you want to call that useless garbage(pop))...but just popular music in general.FirestormXIII wrote:el_farlo is obviously referring to pop as in popular music, while you're referring to the style of Pop.:
dueing the 1980's there was a type of music called "hair metal" bands such as poison, ratt, bon jovi, and iron maiden were in the hair pop catagory, which was very popular in the late 1980's and in to 91....in not saying your stupid or anything t_b_m but you really need to read up on your music history...or watch vh1 or something
