It's 80F outside. Normally this would seem slightly warm...but after a week of 100+ it's like a little slice of paradise. :)

After almost a year of work, my co-workers are starting to appreciate my relentless work ethic. I'm not judgmental, I don't hold people to my standards, but if I'm at working I'm going to work my ass off. I make it a mission to learn everything I can for a job, so that I'm as useful as anyone can be. I make use of my primary assets; for me, those are a great memory and an ability to multitask at a level most people can't. I've finally gotten used to every position in the store (I work at Burger King, for reference). I'd put my speed at about 80% of what it should be, but I compensate with having almost no margin of error. I even keep an eye out for other people making common mistakes while focusing on my task. I know prep, cooking, cleaning, truck orders, and I'm always thinking about those things while at work. I've got a great relationship with all my co-workers, and I feel I can offer criticism without them feeling resentful for it.

Several times over the past week, the manager and an assistant manager have both expressed their gratitude for my presence on crazy hectic days (like the 4th and the day before). And I was able to work knowing that only maybe one or two other people could do what I managed on those days.

It's crazy, it's mentally exhausting, it doesn't pay shit, but it's fulfilling. And I also worked 48 hours, which means overtime, yay!

Phantasy Star Online 2.

I've already started losing sleep over it. It's not out in English yet but the servers are quickly filling up with English players. I love the combat, the character customization, and dear lord...the weapons O: YES PLEASE I WILL PLAY WITH A SWORD THAT IS BIGGER THAN MY CHARACTER.

Once this is actually brought over to the US, I may as well say goodbye to everyone. Until then, it won't be as bad >> But still pretty bad.
