3. I have a ghost cat that has followed me since 2004. Immorrel, as well as my ex, have both seen it as well.
4. I seem to collect gay harems wherever I go. Must to Immorrel's [pseudo uncomfortable] amusement. 0_o
5. I love cooking.
6. I consider anime/video game figure collecting to be one of my main hobbies.
7. I have an all male figure collection, which came about after the Eye-Up Kamina figure came out. (I always appreciated the detail and effort that went into them, but never collected because it seemed that all the good ones were females geared towards pervy oataku boys. Then when I saw that Kamina, it gave me hope that there might be more good male figures out there. Then I found the mfc.net/tsuki-board community, who had a 'More Male Figures' club, and it was downhill from there. XP)
8. I have been engaged 4 times. Only one of those resulted in marriage. No children.
9. Immorrel (my husband) "helped" break up 2 of those engagements. XD
10. I am somehow related to Leslie Van Houten of the Manson "Family". (3rd or 4th cousin twice removed, IIRC)

I cannot function without music. If you ever want to unnecessarily stress me out just lock me in a room with no sound. (Also I play the flute and would love at some point to learn piano.)

I have a very low tolerance for bullies because I was bullied in some form or another until I graduated from university =/ It's partly why I moved halfway across the country for a clean break and why I absolutely cherish my true and wonderful friends.

As absolutely cynical as I can be; I have a lot of empathy. This is good in that as a journalist/editor I connect with people really easily and make them feel comfortable, but I also carry their pain/troubles around with me. That being said I love my job, even when all the haters hate D:

I lllloooove travelling. When I get my extra week of vacation from work in a couple years I'm going to head to Australia and swim on the reef before it dies. (And visit my Aussies and Kiwis :3) Soon to be followed with Europe me thinks.

I have an irrational fear of swimming into lake turtles.

Despite my irrational fear of lake turtles, I'm happiest when near fresh water and am totally cool with getting all pruny.

My middle name was almost Michiko, despite being a pasty white girl. (One of my mom's best friends is Japanese.) Instead I ended up with two middle names.

I'm perfectly happy to embrace things I like (video games, comics, anime, etc.) and don't think this makes me any less "grown up" or unprofessional despite what some hoity-toity people choose to believe. And I think I'm a happier person for not giving a damn about so-called social expectations about when to get married/havekids/etc. etc. That being said, I don't like people making excuses for me. As if they have to apologize for me being single, or assuming that having a guy visit me MUST MEAN I either want to jump his bones or I'm deep in unrequited love. (WTF people?)

I read tarot cards. And while I don't particularly believe in any higher power or psychics or anything, following my instincts has always been very good for me. I also have a really vivid sense of deja-vu that freaks me out sometimes.

Words are my anti-drug. I have an absurd collection of journals for just about every subject imaginable and currently about 10 books that are blank because I haven't decided what subject best suits the feel of them. Book stores see me coming and smile ._.

I also like to lounge around airports, feeling totally happy and non-angry, while listening to ambient music. I'm one of those people that will get to an airport hours ahead just because I want to be there.
I was super-envious when my brother applied for a job at an airport this year. Much to my relief, he didn't get it, so I don't have to envy him even more

Also it's VERY unusual for me to get genuinely angry. In general, despite being a pretty impulsive and emotional person, I tend to restrain the expressions of this. In fact, out of all of you who know me in person here, I can wager you that you've never seen me angry, or otherwise emotionally worked up. (And no, rants on the internets don't count )

As for music, I even have the excuse that I grew up in the family of a professional musician. It actually wasn't until I moved out that I realized how much I NEED music around me in my life - I used to take it for granted...

I don't get how people can enjoy airports. I'm the exact opposite. Airports run my mood right into the ground. It's like everyone at the airport is there specifically to slow me down or piss me off. I even yelled at a cashier once just because she took more than ten seconds to get me my change.

The way he wrote that means he recognized what he did was wrong and the cashier did not do anything to deserve it, but it was a result of him being so fed up by the shit that goes on at airports it causes him to have the shittiest of shitty days.
I can certainly say sometimes when I have had really bad days I get really really pissed at things that don't deserve it.
And I can totally understand how airports (Specifically the security/customs/beurocratic nonsense) could do that to me.

I personally enjoy some of them... HATE LAX and Houston... Never had "good times" at either of those, but many other airports I've enjoyed.
